Homemade Brownies

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks

Instructions:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until well blended.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips or chunks into the batter.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before slicing.
  • Once cooled, lift the brownies out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang and cut them into squares.
