Instructions:
1. Preheat and Prepare:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Season the Sausage (Optional):
- In a bowl, combine the ground sausage meat with dried sage, dried thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

- Cut the sausage-filled pastry roll into smaller pieces, about 1-2 inches (2.5-5 cm) wide, or as preferred.
4. Brush with Egg Wash:
- Place the sausage rolls on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the tops of the rolls with beaten egg using a pastry brush.
- Optionally, sprinkle sesame seeds or poppy seeds on top for added texture and flavor.
5. Bake to Golden Perfection:
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the sausage rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
