Homemade Fried Pickles Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 jar of dill pickle chips
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking oil for frying
  • Ranch dressing or dipping sauce of choice

Instructions:

  • Drain the dill pickle chips and pat them dry with paper towels.
  • In a bowl, pour the buttermilk over the pickle chips, ensuring they are well-coated. Allow them to soak for about 15-20 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the flour, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  • Heat cooking oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • Take a handful of the buttermilk-soaked pickle chips and dredge them in the seasoned flour mixture, ensuring they're evenly coated.
  • Carefully place the coated pickles in the hot oil, frying them in batches for 2-3 minutes or until they turn golden brown and crispy.
  • Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried pickles and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
  • Serve the homemade fried pickles hot with a side of ranch dressing or your preferred dipping sauce.

Enjoy these crispy and tangy delights as a snack or appetizer! Adjust the seasoning to your taste preferences for a personalized touch.
